Terms of Use

CardPodium (cardpodium.com) is a catalogue of trading cards and their values. These terms cover using the site and holding an account. They are written to be read.

What CardPodium is — and is not

CardPodium is a catalogue of trading cards: Pokémon TCG and Magic: The Gathering today, more games later. It ranks every set by card value, gives every card a page of its own, keeps a collection and a wishlist for each account, and makes share images of cards, sets and collections. Its news pages link to articles and videos from the publications and channels it follows.

CardPodium is not a marketplace. Nothing is bought or sold on the site: there are no listings, no stock, no shipping and no payments. A purchase you make on a site we link to is between you and that site, on its terms.

Values and accuracy

Values are estimates, computed from third-party market data: Cardmarket's price guide and Scrydex's US market prices. They are stored in euros and shown in the currency you choose, converted at the European Central Bank's reference rates.

Values can be wrong, and they change daily: markets move, sources correct themselves, and a card can be matched to the wrong product. Check the price on the marketplace before you buy or sell.

A value is information. It is not an offer to buy or sell, not a valuation for insurance or tax, and not financial advice, and nothing here is a promise about future prices.

Links to marketplaces

Card pages link to marketplaces such as eBay and Cardmarket. A link opens the marketplace's own site, where its prices and its terms apply.

Some of these links may be affiliate links: if you buy after following one, the marketplace may pay CardPodium a commission, at no cost to you. Every affiliate link is labelled as advertising before you click it, and no commission changes a value or a ranking.

Accounts

Browsing never requires an account. An account keeps your collection and your wishlist, and it is free. You can open one with an email address and a password, or sign in with Google or Apple.

One account per person, and the details you register must be yours. You must be at least 16 to open an account; if you are younger, you need a parent's consent.

You can export your lists as CSV at any time, and delete your account yourself in your settings or by writing to hello@cardpodium.com: its lists are deleted with it (how deleting an account works). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms (see acceptable use). What we store, and why, is in the privacy notice.

Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape the site or access it in bulk by automated means beyond normal browsing. A partner API may come later, under its own terms.
  • Do not try to break in: no probing, disrupting or overloading the service, and no attempts to reach accounts or data that are not yours.
  • Do not abuse the sharing features, for example by putting a name that is not yours to use on a share image.
  • Do not misrepresent CardPodium, or present our pages as your own.

Content and trademarks

Card names, card images and set logos belong to their owners: The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Wizards of the Coast and the artists. CardPodium is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them; the images are shown to identify the cards. Articles and videos in the news belong to their publishers and channels, and every item links to its original.

Card data comes from TCGdex, the Pokémon TCG API, Scryfall, Scrydex and Cardmarket, used under their terms. Our own text, the rankings and the way the catalogue is put together are ours. Your collection data is yours.

If you hold rights in something shown here and want it taken down, write to hello@cardpodium.com with the card and the page it is on.

Liability

The service is provided as is, with no warranty that its values or its data are accurate or complete. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of them, for what happens on the sites we link to, or for interruptions of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for intent or gross negligence — or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms as CardPodium grows. Every change is announced on this page, with a new version and date below; continuing to use the site after that means the current version applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the mandatory protections of the country you live in.
