Pokémon TCG: the week in the card market, 18 October 2026

The sources listed this week reported mostly on new product reveals and on card prices. PokeBeach reported that N's Plan and Hilda will release in China for Black Bolt and White Flare, and that a Gem Pack Vol 7 is due in China featuring an exclusive Misty's Psyduck. PokeBeach also reported that Mega Heatran ex, Lebanne, Gastly and other Gym Promos have been revealed for November.

Ptcgradio carried several reveal reports of its own on 16 and 17 October. It reported new Special Illustration Rares, with N and Hilda among the cards shown, and a Mega ex Special Deck Set featuring Mega Gengar, Dragonite and Feraligatr. It also reported the first Mega Heatran ex. On the price side, Ptcgradio reported that Prism Star Pokémon cards have risen sharply in price over a few weeks. The Bulba Store reported on a modern Charizard that its vendor described as worth five figures, and PokeBeard, in its Sunday slab review, asked whether the PSA market is falling.

The mood of the headlines leaned to the positive side. Of the 44 listed, 20 were read as positive and 22 as neutral, which leaves 2 read as negative. Positive headlines were attached to Delta Reign, Prism Star Pokémon cards, Special Illustration Rares, the Mega ex Special Deck Set and the Umbreon & Espeon Box, one headline each. The one negative headline named modern Pokemon cards. Headlines on the Pokemon market, the Pokémon market and the PSA slab market were read as neutral, two of them for each of the first two subjects and one for the third.

Beside the words, the market index stands at €168,719.57 on 18 October 2026, up from €166,170.98 a week earlier, a change of 1.5%+1.5% over 7 days. The index is what the game's 100 most valuable cards are worth together.

Over 30 days, four sets rose most and one fell. POP Series 5 moved 95.6%+95.6%, with a complete set worth €7,963.61, and POP Series 6 moved 53.9%+53.9%, with a complete set worth €246.60. Deoxys, from the EX series, moved 48.4%+48.4% to €14,315.75, and Team Rocket Returns moved 42.6%+42.6% to €24,206.19. Base Set moved 42.5%-42.5% and a complete set is worth €933.80.

Among single cards, Snorlax from the SWSH Black Star Promos has the week's largest rise, now €52.77 at 463.2%+463.2% over 7 days. Aerodactyl from Neo Revelation has the largest fall, now €8.25 at 53.0%-53.0% over 7 days.
